Officially back home after four days in Sicily. Refreshed, re-energised, surprisingly empty, which I’m seeing as a very good thing. I spent four days doing very little, completely without any kind of agenda or wish list to cross off. Four days of eating local food, staying in one small area, generally going with the flow and just being. And it was fabulous.
Officially on holiday.
I’ve taken a few much needed days to do absolutely nothing (except write very little about doing absolutely nothing). It felt so, so good today to just lie in the sun, to eat a lot of Sicilian food, to walk, to laugh, to completely forget to stress about what I have not yet done.
I am grateful. Grateful to be here in the best company I could imagine, grateful for the space I am in, grateful for the food, the air, the sea, the endless amounts of lava rock everywhere. Grateful for everything that has paved the way to here and now. Because it feels great.
